Swift yet Safe

It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road

A Swift owner is responsible by nature and completely liable for his actions. His personality is reflected in his/her car. It’s sleek, stylish and fast but always in control. The Swift is far more than just a car in the eyes of its owner.

The bond shared between the owner and his Swift is that of trust and friendship. The trust that the car would pull through for its owner in the most difficult and impossible of situations, A Swift owner respects and loves his car and treats it with a lot more care than you would normally do for any inanimate object.

As we are entering the holiday season, all of us are going to be partying and celebrating this Christmas and New Years. The one main issue which poses a threat and a major safety concern is drinking and driving. This is one problem which just keeps getting worse and is something which can easily be avoided.

Being responsible and in-charge of his own life, a Swift owner would never risk any damage to his car over just a few drinks. The bond shared between the owner and his Swift is to strong to risk drinking and driving, a swift owner cares about his own life, the people’s lives who are in his car and of course for his Swift, and hence drinking and driving would be a complete taboo.

As this is the season of cheer and not fear there are various ways in which we could avoid drinking and driving. Appoint a friend who’s going to be sober as the designated driver for the night, and stick by that decision. Or if all your friends are in the celebration mode, there are various agencies which provide drivers on hire for the night. So basically you drink and they drive.

If none of the above options suit you, there are always taxis available at every nook and corner. Let your car take a rest for a day and enjoy new years too, and just catch a taxi to your desired party destination.

Whatever your decision, we request you to not drink and drive this Christmas and New Years as drinking and driving is a gamble that you just cant win, no matter how lucky you may think you are.

Swift Performance

The first priority on the mind of any car buyer is performance. It leads the race in the aspects one looks at when planning to purchase a car. The interiors, exteriors and features are all second fiddle to the performance of the car.

The moment you sit in the driver’s seat and hear the engines purr grow into a loud aggressive roar it gives you the sense of pride and satisfaction and it clears any doubt in your mind as to whether you bought the right car. The engine is the heart of any car and it makes the blood flow to all parts of the body and gives life to your car.

Exactly in this way the Maruti Swift is powered by an exquisite engine, both the diesel and petrol versions set benchmarks for others to follow in their class.

We shall first talk about the petrol engine in slight detail. The all new Maruti Swift is powered by an advanced K-series engine which is patented by Maruti. It has an increased power output of 87ps, which makes for a quicker, zippier and overall a more refined driving experience.

The Swift is the only car in its class which is given life by a 16-valve light weight DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) engine which creates better durability and lowers friction substantially. The new Swift gives an improved mileage of 18.6kmpl and the K-series engine being all aluminum and very light weight, not only gives the Swift a improved power to weight ratio but also initiates longer spark plug life(40,000kms) and oil change intervals(10,000kms).

The diesel version of the Swift is given life by the award winning DDiS engine. The perfect partnership between Turbochargers and Intercoolers makes combustion far more efficient and gives the new Swift additional torque. The DDiS engine also works on the DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) system which boosts performance by leaps and bounds. The 16-valve Cylinder Head initiates better fuel combustion and cleaner emissions. The diesel variant boasts a mileage of 22.9 kmpl.

One concern on most people’s mind who desire to purchase a diesel car is, high maintenance. However, the combination of the Chain Drive Timing System and Auto Tenstioner make for very precise valve timings. This means its maintenance free for the entire life of the engine.

All these factors show us how superior the Swift is in its class and how it will always be the quintessential hatchback and always epitomized in its segment.
